I have an Ex500 engine that I'm putting on a buggy. The engine has 520 chain setup, the cart does not. My axle has a hub with a 2in bore. I cannot find a 520 rear with a 2 inch bore to save my life

It's a Sunl 150 kart
Motor is ex500

What are my options?

If your buggy has a #428 axle sprocket now, you might be able to purchase an aftermarket #428 counter sprocket that fits your engine. There's serveral shops that manufacture custom counter sprockets, here's one: https://sprocketspecialists.com/product/front-sprocket/

Or, If you measure your axle with an accurate caliper, I've got a feeling you'll discover its actually a metric size & exactly 50mm. diameter, not 2"...
And you'll probably have better luck finding #520 axle sprockets or a sprocket hub with a 50mm. bore. But you'll also need to confirm it's key and/or keyway is compatible with your axle (y)

Have you already calculated what gear ratio you wanna run?

Can you post some pics of the components in the setup? The others here don't need it to know what you've got going, but my foggy mind's drawing a blank trying to picture it, and that makes me curious.
Note: The home page of that link Anderkart posted above shows a bunch of the coolest looking sprockets I've ever seen in my life.

Sorry for the delay. Hectic times. Now that im not eyeballing it with a ruler, heres what i have. Keep in mind ive never used one of these and theres a thickish layer of paint and or rust to skew results.

Heres the stock kart sprocket and the stock motorcycle sprocket

My "plan" for now to further get things mocked up is to attempt this and drill holes?

Sprocket hole, and what is sits on

Axle , im sure the paint isnt helping this

Pics that I hope are useful..

Don't know if they run the teeth past an induction coil to only heat-treat the teeth or not, but drilling that close to the edge right beside those teeth would make that area very hard regardless. So for me, it's $0.50 worth of welding rod instead.

If a problem arises i'll be going the welding route. The sprocket is aluminum, my 125 Titanium cant do it. Hopefully this holds long enough to figure out what gearing I'll be ok with. Def want to take some "oomph" out of it lmao.
