Hey all,
So I recently got this engine started and running, but am having trouble with initial start and restarting.
I connected the autochoke on it incorrectly initially. I didn't realize it needed the resistor in the circuit and I'm still uncertain as to whether or not I wired it correctly.
So I initially wired it in to 12v without the resistor and was having some trouble starting. Now, it wont start if I have the choke plugged in. I have to unplug to get it going. before rewiring with the resistor, it ran good at WOT, but now it bogs. I tested to ohms through the resistor and its about 9.6 ohms, which I think is good.
Idk, maybe I wired the resistor in wrong. It's on the positive wire. The other thing was I wasn't sure about was which wire on the choke was the positive, but with the limited info I was able to find, I chose the yellow.
The cart has issues starting but dang it I can't figure it out yet. Valves are adjusted btw and all the other parts are new (but ****ty amazon part lol).
Another weird thing. So after I run it for a while and it doesn't want to start, it WILL start if I connect my 40 boost charger to it. The battery is brand new and it's done this through two batteries. Both batts were good, but I just wanted a larger one.
I'm beginning to wonder if its a spark issue too. IDK.
JUST checked voltage at the battery while it's running. 12.18vdc. Not good! Wth is going on?
Any guidance would be appreciated!
