Hey guys I'm just starting this because id like to see what you've made and give people the opportunity to flaunt their work a bit. I'm in the process of building my first as well and could use some inspiration. Cant wait to see what you guys have!

Here's my '14 Baja Warrior. I bought it new, and ended up rebuilding the engine (improper ring installation from factory), and I pulled the governor while I was in there. While the 196cc was off, I threw on a 212 non-hemi, and a tav. Now it has the original engine back on it, and the tav, with 5.5:1 gearing. It'll do a bit over 55mph, and you wouldn't believe how little gas it burns (after riding in the half a day I still have 3/4 of a tank left).

PS: this is about the only pic I have of the bike. And those fields are great for drifting on a kart with slicks.

Nice! I really like the 3rd one(black) and the camo one.

I just sold the Baja Warrior today (big black one). It Had a 212cc with ported, polished, shaved head, governor removed, advanced timing, bored carb with larger jets, straight pipe, pvl flywheel and 1.1:1 rockers. It was fun but I have too many. I will use the money to buy some parts for my 1972 Trail Horse GTC-350 (the white one)

I got a few

The blue one is scary fast , picks up the front tire at 20+ mph , and is stupid loud even at idle.
I got about 13 mpg on my last trip.

Mine from the build off here a few years ago.

Still the Oklahoma 1/8 mile record holder. And the first nitro 44 with a big block style engine.

Have you still got that minibike?

No. I sold it to a guy that builds racing kart engines in Texas. It’s been all over YouTube racing tho still. It’s in a lot of gopowersports videos as well. I’m gonna build a his new nitro 50 version eventually.

Murray Track 2 and a Baja mini bike

The Murray was a frame up custom build completely sandblasted and powder coated I made the gas tank and the 212 engine has got some mild work done to it, and a upgraded torque converter Ive done 52 MPH on this bike:wai:

The Baja was also sandblasted and painted with several "shake cans" stage 1 on the 212, torque converter as well. AUX BEAM LED lights. haven't done a good speed test but its pretty quick.

My mini bikes

I will be repainting the green and yellow drag bikes and installing steering dampers. Also working on a small pad for the upper part of sissy bar on 1960s chopper. I do have the original wheels for the chopper. The wheels on there now are after market.

Here is my take on the Tom Thumb minibike plans on this forum. I really didn't NEED a minibike but I wanted to learn how to TIG weld (still a lot of learning to do....). There were some modifications of the plans; the handlebars are taller, there are footpegs and footpads because there at nearly 6 feet and 60+ years of age this was the only way I could ride it. It's also wider because I am (somewhat) wider than the skinny kid who originally made one. There is a brake; the hub brake/sprocket adapters are homemade, the wheels/tires are Harbor Freight, the engine is a 47/49CC Chinese engine with a transmission so no jackshaft was needed. The gas tank is PVC fittings and the seat is homemade and was then upholstered by an auto trim shop. I welded on a kickstand. I really tried to DIY everything because just getting a kit or buying off the shelf and screwing everything together is just not very satisfying.

The tools I used were fairly crude; MIG/TIG welders, a bandsaw, angle grinders, a chop saw, tube notcher, and the low-end HF pipe bender (that I bought used cheap). It was impossible for me to go much more than 90 degrees so this was done by cutting and welding the curves. This was difficult and tedious. The bends on the back were just BARELY done with sand and BB fill and constant repositioning. The cables were off the shelf but I had to cut them and remake the throttle cable end. I had a waste factor of about 2x on the pipe.

A lot of this was "barely"; the front tire barely fits; I can barely ride it; the engine barely fits; I barely bent the pipe. The muffler barely fits. in short, I got somewhat lucky.

I originally had a 72 tooth gear on the back and it didn't go very fast but the torque was crazy.

I look fairly silly riding it but all in all it was a satisfying project. I hadn't actually BEEN on a minibike for about 45 years until I rode this.
