Question on if I should lengthen my grand daddy go kart?
By say 4 inches length
I'm looking over the Plans I have and seeing as I'm 6 foot 2 inches tall, I figure to make changes to the plans to somewhat be more comfortable for me.

Go to youtube, search "homesteadonomics gokart", the first 2 that pop up are the same kart, a Spidercarts Granddaddy. Look at the end of either video, see how the full grown man has his knees drawn up as he runs down the dirt road.
Should give you a good idea how you'd fit in the stock version, straight from the plans.

I just built an arachnid and am 6 foot even....I extended the frame 10 inches...others have done the same.. much more comfortable !

ah thanks all. so 6 inches would be batter then 4...

10-11 is not uncommon with folks over 6ft tall from what I read. Easier to make it too long then have to shorten it.

Not by a lot, but the longer the frame is, the less that any twitchy steering affects actual drive path. Goofy people like me appreciate that.
