Please help just want it to run!!!

hey guys obviously im new here

but anyways i have a yerf dog 6hp engine and i recently have taken the carb out and it was rusted and leaking so im pretty sure thats whats keeping it from running.

cuz it will start( with starting fluid) but only run for 2 sec tops so obvisouly the carb it done.

just wondering what carb would fit. would this fit????

What is model number of engine?
Get a parts explosion and match up part numbers.

the only thing it says on the motor is 6hp power sport tecmuseh

Tecumseh stamps complete engine code into flywheel housing.
Never saw one without these numbers...Tecumseh or B&S.

i know that motor< ive seen it plenty its all good. have one in garage right know. get it.

yup it worked great. the nickname for my go cart is the rally king . i have pretty much bald tires and basically pin it to win it( spin untill i get crip). and im climbing some narling rock hills with this little 6 hp

I have an OHH60 on my kart, had the same problem, would run on starter fluid but not keep running, I took the lower bowl off the carb, cleaned out the 2 horizontal holes, and the one little hole right above the threads in the screw that holds the bowl on. I also took out the idle adjusment screw and cleaned the holes in it also. I used a piece of wire from a wire brush to clean out the holes, and some carb cleaner. I had previously rebuilt the carb, but missed the little hole in the bowl screw - the one that holds the bowl on.

Put it all back together, making sure that the shallow part of the bowl was lined up with the pivot on the float. The thing runs like a champ now, no issues. I recleaned all the holes when i took it back apart because I saw some dirt in the bowl and have no issues now.

now, do you have a fuel filter? its a good idea to buy a standard in-line fuel filter to keep this from happening again for as many years as you can possibly get out of the thing.
