Good Lord what a beast!
In light of the good performance of this field weakening, I just ordered a 48 tooth sprocket to multiply the torque more while the FW provides additional speed. Maybe there will be another video next week. If I can blow up this motor, there will be a new one the week after that.

Lookin' Good!

You got "skills" :2guns:

You should build an Electrathon kart
...to help hone those skills (efficiency, endurance etc.) :cheers2:

I'm building one
...& then, we can race them virtually :sifone:

I will have to work on my frame fabrication skills. I have only built one full go-kart frame so far. The rest is all modifications to frames.

This would be a great project for working on your frame fab skills. ;)

They are mainly just light weight
...but, high performance go karts (small electric race cars) :auto:

Maybe just try-n-design one in your head
...or CAD
...or something
...& then, share them thoughts with us :cheers2:

Like, "if I were to build an Electrathon car what/how would I do it?"
...or "what kind of "propulsion/package" do I think would be most competitive"
...& "last for a whole hour of racing?"

I think you (& many others) can do this :2guns:

Come on & join me!
...& if we can't race 'em together, then we'll just race 'em virtually :wai:

Fine tune them skills a bit
...& you'll "get" him

Do you know how long that track was?

Have any idea how many laps you ran?

Would your battery pack last for an hour?

The timed portion was about 550ft. A circle of the lots is 1/3 mile.

I did a bunch of laps including snaking the whole lot a couple of times. I cut the footage way down to what seemed more interesting.

The pack lasts a long time. The previous video with my kart doing the 1g launch with Zach on it and this video plus driving 50+mph a couple miles each way was all the same charge. Zach loaded his gas kart in his truck and took it out while I drove mine there. I put about 20 hard miles on it that night and the pack was still above nominal voltage. I have never run it down; it takes too long.

My friend with the 212cc racing kart sold it and bought a racing kart with a 6-speed and Honda 450cc...

Here's what happened.
