My buddy had a Copper 74 Maverick with a 302 in it.
Talk about a sleeper.
It was not crazy fast, but a great sleeper!

I was cruising town one night in a 78 malibu I used to have that had what I thought at the time was a pretty stout 355. I got smoked by a fat girl in a brown 4 door nova. I was impressed.

Super jealous of your cars. I had a deal worked out years ago to trade a gmc 1/2 ton step side for a 1968 falcon but then someone offered cash before I could close the deal so he sold it. Been looking for a falcon, Fairlane, galaxy 500, cyclone for years to have as my mid life crisis restoration. Twice I made the mistake of not jumping on a good deal. Someday I'll get one though I hope.

Thank you.

I'm looking forward to getting all the masking off and it set back on the wheels, get the furniture moved in so to speak.
I just moved to this town two years ago and have been working on this car in my free time at work. A lot of people have looked at me funny when I answered the "what color is it going to be?" Question with black. I didn't bother telling them that I used to build show cars for a living. I'm looking forward to them passing back through. News travels fast in this town (5300 people) so they undoubtedly will.

I'm a big HST fan. I even have a tribute tattoo to the man, the myth, and the legend on the inside of my right wrist.
