Old V-plex Clutch?

I found an old briggs tiller in the shed, and it has something that loooks like the driver from a torque converter on it ...on the front of the thing..it says V-Plex I8c5a24 HAGERSTOWN INDIANA, U.S....anybody have any clue what this is...ill get pictures tommorow

Below is the maintence and service information for v-plex torque converter made in hagerstown,indiana u.s.a. this info came with a columbia mini bike when it was purchase brand new part# on the torque converter is:v-plex 18t6b35

considering it was used on a briggs 4hp it may have come in a 5/8" shaft. that driven looks interesting, i'm curiouse on how it works.
