New to me welder

Buddy of mine upgraded his setup and sold me his old one cheap because he knew I needed a good welder. It been 6 years since I tried welding with a mig. Second picture is my second try. I also already fixed the murray kart with it.

I got the setup for gas but I will be running flux core since I weld outside.

good welder, same as my new one....you can use gas outside, need something to block any wind.

Might as well build a shed at that point. Really though, Flux core is probably the best for outdoor welding, where making a shelter isn't ideal. I mean popping up a few tarps, may work, but the sparks could cause them to smolder.
