Hi,

I'm building a "rail-rider" 1/2 bike, 1/2 go-kart that goes on old abandoned rail road tracks.

I'm mounting my Predator 6.5HP engine and encountering an obstacle with my Comet TAV-2. The only way it will mount to the engine is in the 10 or 11 o'clock position, every other position will hit the engine or mounting plate. This puts the sprocket ahead of where I need it and the torque converter itself blocks the chain's access to the drive axle sprocket.

This would work but I'd need a jack-shaft. Any way to do this WITHOUT a jack shaft? Is there an adapter that will put the Comet clutch farther away from the motor?

Here's a photo of the jack-shaft type setup

Thanks for the help!

I would relieve the mounting plate(s) a bit to allow the backplate to fit. looks like you could loose about 1/2".
I also, would have put the mounting bolts closer to the post it is to be mounted to.
