My gocarts driven pulley keeps getting my belt stuck

The driven pulley on my gocart keeps pinching my belt when I rev the motor, what should I do?

I figure the clutch spring is either stuck....or too strong for the motor , Check the spring and see if it's bound some way .

Is the belt too worn? Not installed correctly? Clutch clean and lubed properly?

Have you adjusted the fixed point for pinning the driven pulley's spring to the tightest position?

Have you got the correct belt?

I've got the Right belt and it's brand new.

30 series asymmetrical belt or 40 series symmetrical V-belt? If it's a 30 series, it'll never work if you have the flat side of the belt riding on the moveable sheave. Read all of the text at the top of and all the way at the bottom of this linked page................
