And how des that one work? Is that a vacuum hose on it?

Yes,kinda..... The engine produces a pulsing action as it runs. This creates pressure inside the engine, with every stroke. This pressure needs to go somewhere. If you put a nipple on that hole you have, you can use the pulse pressure to drive the pump. It will only provide what the engine needs.

I was having problems with that clone engine so now I have a honda gx 390 now but it doesn't spark and I'm not sure why. As I was replacing the spark plug I jacked up some of the threads in the head so now I need to get those fixed and fix my spark problem

while checking shear key, sand all contacts on coil and flywheel while in there and make sure the kill switch wire is not grounding on anything or malfuntioning

I checked the key and it is still intact and I also sanded the rust off of the magneto and the pickup thing still no spark.... But I did take out the governor and made a throttle linkage that will make things easier hooking up the throttle

Disconnect the black wire from the coil, it may be grounding somewhere. Failing that, if you have a known good coil, bolt it on & see what happens...

That's one way to do it :lolgoku: but, hey, if it works...

Did your engine start? That throttle don't look like it's gonna work to me..... If the throttle arm (big one ) is in its rested position, and the throttle plate is already open, something ain't gonna work right..... Right?

I am going to go get a new coil today. I checked the throttle linkage and it will work. The lever has to be pulled for it to open the carb.

I am going to order a new cdi coil Monday and I had a question. My cart will be used mainly on pavement and I wanted to know what is better for torque and a speed around 50 clutch or torque converter? For tires I wanted to run slicks and I have no idea what size is best for speed and I'm not sure what size axel sprocket I need for my desired speed and torque

A torque converter is always better for speed as you can gear a lot lower.

A torque converter is also known as a CVT or Constantly Variable Transmission so, the faster you go, the faster you go (if you know what I mean); a centrifugal clutch is constant...
