Hello!

This weekend I bought a Loncin Engine 13HP 375CC. (please see picture at bottom of motor and nameplate)

Price was really low so I knew there was something wrong. In fact, motor works REALLY well, but there is a LOT of fuel flowing out of the carb. So I opened it.. oops.

I need a new carburetor. Loncin is chinese so it seems to be hard to find my carburetor. I'm still investigating this. (I posted here in case some of you could help me to find a carb)

Thanks,
JP

someone got a bit impatient with the e-tube I guess ;)

Well, since that part doesn't have to take any load you can jb weld it,
just make sure you redrill the holes and recut the thread properly.

check your float neeedle, since that might be the cause for the excessive incontinence

it appears to be the same carb as always though..
so get a gx390 carb and just install your e-tube (it should fit)
if it doesn't and the old jet doesn't fit alone either,
you may need to find a smaller jet for it or the engine will run too rich.
but that's about all the hassle you could expect from buying a gx390 carb.
(clone carb on amazon: 15 bucks )

I bought it from someone who told me that the snowmower has been drop on the ground.

He tried to repair carburetor with a LOT of silicon everywhere.. I need to know some info.

There wasn't any gasket where indicated (please see my picture)

1. There is no gasket
2. It is a pretty hard gasket?
3. There is no gasket

As for my second picture, would you weld only external? Or internal also, then drill, then tap.

What would look like a float needle that is not good?

Thanks so much!

well there should be gaskets, as you can see it was replaced by a liquid gasket eliminator (oozing out a bit), which isn't exactly nice but okay, as long as it's air tight you'll be alright.
well I hope it's not just silicone.. since thatd be a pain to remove :(
loctite (515) should peel right off.

since you will have to remove the carb, you should buy a set of gaskets though, it's cheap and most of the time they're reuseable.

for the weld thing...
I'd remove all the broken parts, and basically glue them in using jb weld,
that way it'll ooze out to the inside of the tube as well as the outside.
then file the inside flush with the tube, on the outside I guess you can leave some "support" just make sure the float isn't catching ;)

talking of the float, a good float needle is perfectly cone shaped, no burrs, scratches, no nothing and pointy. so if it's dull or has a recess.. replace it.

Well it was a pain to remove...

I'll buy some gaskets, and try to weld the tube with jb weld. May be it will correct my problem.

Thanks!

O ring for carb bowl.
Paper gasket for behind plastic block.
O ring for plastic block.
And I guess a new rubber covered steel plate for the front of the carb to cleaner.....

The insulator is the plastic thing where I wrote 1 and 3, right?

What's the name of the plastic thing where I wrote 2? There is also a kind of shim in between?

---

So I've started repairing my carburetor tonight, as Itsid told me.

I bought JB Weld. Tomorrow I will drill and tap.

JB weld on my e-tube:

I also ordered the 2 gaskets, my bowl o-ring was still looking good!

Thanks!

By the looks of it, you only need to clean up the entry hole. The threads look good enough to work. From what I can see.....

looking good from here ;)

I hope it'll work out

while it's out, clean the e-tube and jet with some thin wire and compressed air before reinstalling it.

jet is slotted for a small flathead and already out obviously..
the etube should follow, just hold the carb in one hand and tap it with the handle of your screwdriver a few times.

if it doesn't drop you need some cleaning, carb cleaner works well (hence the name ;))
it should soften the gummed up gas enough to free the emulsion tube.

If that doesn't work you may need to give it a shove from the top; open both butterflies & you should see it protrude into the venturi a few millimetres; give it a gentle push with the flat edge of a screwdriver & it should release
