Im hoping to build a fat guy sized go kart. I picked up a Harley twin cam 88ci, outputting around 60hp. What thickness of axle would I have to use for this?

I can weld, so I was thinking of using 2x3 box tubing. It's going to have to be beefy, I'm around 260 and the engine is 185.

I was planning on mounting the engine beside me so I can jockey shift it. My tinnitus can't get any worse, so why not?

I just need to figure out a front suspension that will tolerate the weight and a rear axle that can handle the hp and torque.

Since you can weld you could always buy a beater 2 seat kart, stretch it to your liking. The big block industrial engines ( 390 to 440 cc's ) can be hopped up to
20 to 25 horse power pretty easily. Enough umph to have fun with. Won't match a sportster engine, but no computer needed either.
