I'll give those settings a try. Would you happen to know which setting to jack up brake regen? I am using a switch on the brake pedal so regen kicks on as soon as I hit the pedal and before the manual brake gets going.

Okay... major improvement in throttle response and acceleration with those settings Bmr4Karts. I saw 95 amps on the battery glancing down at one point. I expect gearing will limit me to about 30 with my 52v battery. I also figured out the brake regen. It is strong enough to make the kart skid immediately, so I toned it down a bit. The mechanical brake will be just a backup at this point.

No clue about brake regen. I installed an MCP hydraulic brake disc.

Here is my current seat; a bag of cat litter covered by a seat cushion. I can't seem to get GoPowerSports.com to respond to me. Emails seem to go into a black hole and they don't answer the phone, so I don't know if my brake and seat are being shipped. I didn't even know the frame had shipped until UPS called me to ask if I would be home to receive it.

I finally got through to GoPowerSports and it seems they forgot to send me the seat and brake. They shipped them out Friday and I received them Sunday. I've managed just under 34mph now and it looks like I can get over 30 miles out of a charge, but I have yet to run the battery that low.

Here is a little off-road driving from just before I got the seat and brake.

Your yard is going to look horrible line mine soon. I've got 4" wide slicks on my smaller kart and they dig ruts like crazy. I ran 11" wide slicks on my Manco conversion and they did no damage. They also had really rounded edges though so I bet that also helped.

You can see the tire difference in the pics.

Yeah, a rounded edge probably does stop most of the damage. I noticed the tires really tear in when sliding sideways more than under straight acceleration. I am considering changing up the tires and wheels when these wear out.
