Kart build from ATV parts? Any and all opinions welkom.

Hi all

I have always dreamed of building my own Go kart, and i think i finally have the time and knowledge to seriously consider starting my dream. So yes im n newbie...
I currently have an old 2002 Polaris sportsman 500 which just needs some minor attention carb and so on. Hoping to use pretty much everything from the ATV accept the big wheels frame and steering column, the 4x4 system is a big issue aswell that's why im here.
Hope i can build a small low one seated kart with safety roll cage unfortunately i live on a farm so will have to stick to dirt road type kart.

Anyone ever tried this conversion? I appreciate all criticism advice and ideas and questions.
