I'm going to be using a weed trimmer motor. The original jackshaft is very small (on the order of 1/4 inch"). Aside from the obvious stress that is going to be cuased by tapering or stepping the jackshaft from 1/4 to 3/4 inch (to fit the clutch), what possible problems can I run into?
Also, what holds the jackshaft in the engine? I don't see any way, other than lock tite to keep the jackshaft from just comming out of the engine.
