Internal Reverse grenades

I have a Dazon Raider 150cc that was working great until the gear selector would get out of adjustment constantly. One day tried going into Drive and was just grinding. Put it in Reverse then it made a hard clunk and seems to grenade itself. I want to be able to do a temporary fix for an upcoming camping trip before I do an overhaul or motor swap on it.

Is there a way to just remove the linkage for the reverse so it always stays in drive for short term purpose?

Not likley.
When things like that break it usually disables the
Whole thing. Things break right before ya want them most. Its one of the laws of the universe.
However, waiting on someone smarter than me is advised.

Are the cables adjusted properly?
Perhaps they are not letting the mech fully engage.

The cables were fine and working before. Weren't adjusted when it make the large clunk into gear.
