I thought I knew how to read tires...

Simple question, what is the compatible rim diameter and width?

Look at 22900 for example:
8.0/11.0-6
-my guess the width is 8.0in, but table says 7.25. ok maybe they rounded..up? next,
-next, rim size should be 6in, why do they recommend 8.5-9in??
-the only thing that makes sense is the overall tire diameter at 11in

The 8" measurement is the section width unmounted, edge of sidewall to edge of sidewall. The 11 is tire diameter or over all height. The 6 is wheel diameter. They recommend 8.5” to 9” wide wheel.
