If everybody wants to have a good laugh, that's cool. I have a sense of humor also. But the original question was about protecting velocity stack ( incoming air to the carburetor ). At least that's how I understood it. A woman's nylon stocking is woven very close with very fine thread. Slip it over the air filter, tie it down tight at the base of the carburetor with a zip tie, and spray real good with air filter oil ( sold at all motorcycle shops ) and you have improved your air filter ability to catch dirt or sand by about 100 percent. Practically all our riding is off road in the desert. The knee high ones are short enough that you don't have to cut them off, plus a pack of two can be purchased at almost any 99 cent store.
In the last couple of days I have read at least one post saying after hosing down the kart it wouldn't start, or wasn't running right. If you're too damn stupid to not zip tie a plastic bag over the air intake and the exhaust pipe prior to turning on the hose or the pressure washer them maybe go kart ownership is a little to complicated for you. Try bicycles. They are easier to keep running.
