By yard kart, he basically means a frame like mine(see profile picture). And yes, they are much simpler. Might try and sell that one and buy one like mine. Bonus is that they are usually cheap and/or free if you are patient. I got mine off Craigslist with the Briggs and Stratton flathead on it for $60 thank to some fair bargaining skills. So yeah, just try to stay away from the 'I can finish this project in 2 days with $100' mindset, because go karts are basically just miniature cars. And what do cars take? Time and money. Please don't take any of this the wrong way, but just slow down and take your time and everything will work out.
