I have a go kart and I put a 1hp farm use electric motor on it and used a 12v battery and power inverter to power it but the motor doesn't have enough rpm to engage the clutch for the chain sprocket what should I do or how could I fix this

Oh its an 1,800rpm motor.
I used an unmodified go-kart clutch on a 3,600rpm motor and it worked perfectly for starting a hay conveyor with hay/fire wood on it.

Howdy & :welcome2:

Most electric motors don't use or need a clutch
...because they don't (need to) "idle"

What is a 1HP farm use electric motor?
...& maybe add some pics of your kart ;)

FYI: Here is an "electric drive line" video that I made up a few years ago :cheers2:

It has a 48V 1,000W (~1.2HP) brushed motor
...a 48V 1,000W speed controller
...a couple of switches
...& 48V 35AH battery pack

A "farm use" is kind of a generic term along with general purpose or utility.
Most likely AC and US 120v, 240v, 480v. Single phase or three phase.
Those motors aren't typically used as variable speed and want all or nothing.
VFD's can be used if necessary.
But they take power as well, some thing limited on a 12 battery.
It probably won't be happy on a inverter unless the inverter is a monster, and takes power as well.
