What do you think would be more rigid Cold Roll, Or Hot roll? I use to be up on metal fabrication, but have not been in the industry in years.

yeah, um... uh, um... i like my rolls with honey? maybe a little butter?

i try to get the softer mild steel stuff. not sure about hot or cold rolled. the rigid hard metal will ruin drill bits and saw blades in a jiffy.

IMO, cold rolled is better. It starts out as a flat sheet &, as it's turned, it hardens slightly, making it more rigid. Once you bend it you repeat this process. This doesnt happen with hot rolled, however, due to heating a cooling, you get much the same effect, just in a different way

Did you already clean the carbs out?

did you brush your teeth and say your prayers before you went to bed last night? lol.

the carbs aren't even on the buggy yet, so i haven't touched them. cleaning the carbs takes maybe 20 minutes. take em apart, spray em down good with carb cleaner, hose em thoroughly with the air hose, then put em back together. ta-da! :wai:

coming together...

dropped one of the rear tires off to fix a slow leak. got the other buggy that i upgraded the suspension on out of my driveway, finally (lol).

got attacked by my grinder. grinder shrapnel is NOT a myth! always try to stay out of the path of the shrapnel if you can help it. i'm usually good about keeping the thing pointed away from my face (unless absolutely neccessary), luckily it was just my leg that took the hit.

Usually people come along and spray u with brake cleaner or contact cleaner to get a fire started
We have to wear fire resistant shirts so the fire only burns the sprayed area
Still makes u act quick

Been there... not fun. Keep the guard on your angle grinder! I was happy I kept mine on.

the guard gets in the way for me. i get into tight angles, and need a flat grinder often - so the guard makes it tough to do some things. i'm really quite careful. sh!t happens. lol. i ALWAYS wear welding gloves and safety glasses when i grind though.

I would say if the grinder guard is in the way when you use it, it might be the wrong tool for that job. Keep the guard on, thats why its there.
