Odd question. I am building a mini crosskart for my kid out of some Chinese 4-wheeler parts and the carcass of an old Manco Dingo.
I have the front suspension more or less sorted. I have the tubing for fabbing the additional frame bits. My issue is the IRS.
I have a pair of Miata CV axles, Polaris bearing carriers, my hubs, new press in bearings, and I have everything I need to make the spool.
My issue is that the Miata axles are too long, and I REALLY don't want to go the cut and weld route in case of breakage or other damage.
Does anyone here know of shorter CV axle shafts that the Miata joints will fit on with little to no modification? I am looking for shafts that are 3-4" shorter than the stock Miata shaft.
Thanks in advance!
