Confused about tire options

I picked up some old carts a few months back and also bought a live axle and some home made front suspension, both had aluminum wheels and firestone tires that are pretty old.

The rear tires are where my confusion comes from, they are 6.5/11.5-6 but the wheel measures 9" wide. The contact patch is much less then 9" but there are some serious shoulders to the tires. Are these just out dated and no one makes this sort of tire anymore?

And the fronts are a little odd too, 5.0/10.5-6. I'm just trying to find some cheap tires to blast around the block on. These will be installed on a bar stool racer I'm building.

Oh, and the wheels and hubs have a 6 bolt/hole pattern. I only can find 3 bolt/hole pattern wheels and hubs.

Your tires/rims are common sizes that are used on racekarts setup for racing on oval tracks. Oval racekarts use extra-wide rims to reduce sidewall flex. You could replace your 6.5/11.5-6 rear tires with the (8"-wide)12.0x800-6 size instead...

Your 6-hole rims appear to be the 2 piece/split rim variety and were probably made by a compony called vanK.
6-hole racekart rims typically use 3-bolt hubs, with nuts & bolts in the remaining 3 holes of each rim.
