Hi we have a kt196 Coleman go kart and the belt keeps ripping around every 20 minutes of use when my daughter and her friend are both riding it. The brakes are not locked up and it seems to roll smoothly when the engines not running. They're combined weight is probably a little bit over 300 lb. Pics attached. Thanks.

Can't tell by looking at the pictures in those ads if they're really asymmetric or not, but here's how you can tell...............
One side of the belt has a 18 degree slant, the other side looks flat but really has a 2.5 degree slant. Check the link below, especially read all of the bottom of the page. You'll see everything you need to know about CVT belts.

When replacing the belt I noticed a pretty deep scratch on the inside of the smaller pulley that might be contributing to the belt tearing as well. I sanded it down so hopefully that helps too.

Thanks for all the help guys

Figure out what genuine Comet belt will work for you and buy one. Any other brand I have had bad luck with. I find the Comet belts last 10 to 1 of the other brands. I just replaced the one on the girl’s MB200-2 that has been on it for4 years. It gets ridden weekly.
