Clutch assembly missing parts?

We bought a used cheetah 8 go cart and it eats belts. I believe it is missing a spacer or something on pulley for clutch side. The parts diagram on line is not very helpful. I believe there is spacer that should be between the stationary sheave on motor side and moving sheave by the clutch.

I believe there should be a spacer or something between the sheaves. The diagram on line shows s goes there but doesn’t name it.

Your problem is a lot bigger than a missing sheeve. That is a juggernaut driver, and it is in pieces ( even if you can't see it ). It's about a $90 supposedly hot rod piece. I have one and have had to go through mine twice. They are not easy to rebuild. If I were you I would get a cheap 25 or 30 dollar 30 series driver from Amazon.

Unless the engine is highly modified, and you are turning 6000 rpm and up, the juggernaut is of no real benefit. The stock cheapy drivers work great on stock and mildly modified engines.

So I spotted what I think you are talking about. Will it just use the same size belt? I have attached the link to Amazon. Thanks for the help.

No sir. I am in Kansas City area. I didn’t know that was called a juggernaut? I have had it apart and only figured out that something was missing between the sheave. There is a stand in there that has three legs and rubber boots on the ends. A couple are worn and don’t want to stay on. I sure hope this new part works. My Grandson’s did not get to ride much last summer due to belts going down.

For some reason when I get on Amazon it always gives me Chicago. My wife has the prime account and we order from there. Was that the part you were talking about?

Yes, I saw that and thought howdy neighbor. I’m originally from Whiting Indiana. That clutch is what Pancho was talking about. It will work. But you also need to invest in a quality GENUINE COMET BELT!!! Yes they cost more, but will outlast the cheap ones many times over and won’t melt.

I can't see what you are talking about. A normal 30 series driver will use the same belt as the juggernaut. Inner open, and closed outer diameters are the same. I also don't understand what Chicago has to do with a driven clutch.
Your juggernaut is not missing a piece between the sheeves. When working properly, the springs inside keep the sheeves separated ( very strongly so ) until centrifugal force ( by the engine spinning it ) starts to close them. The 3 legged part you are describing is called the spyder. If you get on the Go Power Sports website I think they might have a video on reassembly. Once again, it's not an easy fix. The inexpensive 30 series torque converter driver is your quickest answer to getting your kart going. ALL existing parts that worked with the juggernaut will work with the standard driver.
