Can anyone link me a carriage stop or whatever this (see picture) is?
Its for a go cart to stop the motor mount from sliding backwards.
Thanks

I didn’t understand the concept, but the threaded mechanism looks like a great way to adjust chain tension.

You mean steamjunk? 😁 Great concept, Ed, but your invention needs refining. I think one screw is superior if you can keep the mount square to the kart frame.
Yea I mean "its only temporary". Made it last year.

I know when to leave good enough alone.

Wanna see its dangly bits?

Nah, it’s permanent and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Yes, I want to see the dangly bits but it sounds so wrong, damn you Ed. 😆 What are those clampy things on the ends?

Sorry for the hijack OP but we needed more information. Motor mounts *can* move, but you just clamp them down harder? How did you solve it?

Those are called Darwin clamps.. (Actually theyre spring compressors.)

They came with a 100# lot of hardware I bought. They are (im serious) supposed to lower your vehicle, instructions were rubberband'd to all the boxes. You put them on all your shocks (springs) and clamp the springs down, lowering your vehicle.

To the original poster: do you want to PUSH or PULL the engine to solve your problem. Forgive the senile clowns who are not trying to help you.
They get silly sometimes and forget what the question was.
