I took my newly upgraded kart out for its first big run last weekend. It worked great! The only problem was that I noticed that at times the mechanical disk brake was sticking. The problem was not in the cable, or in the spring pulling it back. I believe that the lever was going back, but the brake stuck sometimes. The caliper is a Carlisle mechanical. Any ideas?

There is a point I think you have to lubricate with grease. There is a small pin( think piston) with a rounded head that acts against the lever in order to brake. Mine came with grease on that location but I re greased it a wile later. Also having a fairly stiff but not over powering return spring helps to not have a sticky brake lever. At least this is what is in my experience.
