Can anyone help with how to tighten the brakes on this setup? The brake pedal is super loose and the brakes barely engage when pushing all the way down. Not sure if there is a way to tighten the pedal or if the brake itself needs to be adjusted. Thanks!

I see a few problems.
1. The caliper is not mounted correctly. I don't know what that is barely hanging on to. But it won't work.
2. I don't see a rod connected to it. How does the pedal connect to the caliper.

Could you post a few more pics to see what's going on?

To answer your question though.
On the side of the caliper is a set screw with a lock nut.
Hold the screw steady and loosen the lock nut. Adjust the set screw in to tighten the pads, then tighten the lock nut back down.

When you look at these pictures the cable is connected underneath to the break pedal. When you press the break it pulls that black bar that is going across which then is attached to the caliper if that makes sense….

OK. Issue is on my end. I can only see one pic. See

I can't view your huge pics with my craptacularly slow middle of nowhere internet.

I finally saw them after a wait.

Your issue is the whole set up.
You have no leverage. That bar. Umm ain't gonna work. Your pulling close to the pivot, and the work is at the far end.

Is there any way to make the cable pull on the actual caliper lever?
The caliper also needs some more bracket to hold on to. As is, it looks like it will twist out of place.

Maybe these other guys can see something I don't but I don't see a way to make what you have work. I'd remake the bracket and cable setup.

Tighten the set screw like mentioned above and just see if that helps any.
