A section on racing lawn mowers

I saved a 8hp hyrdrostatic Montgomery ward tractor from being crushed. It was missing deck and rear axle. Has jackshaft pump. Briggs engine that will be scraped. Heavy duty unit need to decide if it will become a race mower or a backhoe/ front end loader.

I think it is an 11 / 36. Four Speed.

It is probably as old as me.

How and why are you going to scrape that Briggs???? It would seem like scrapping it would be a better option.

I was going to put a chain on the Tec engine and use it as an anchor / brake. Should scrape it up nicely.
