I have access to two running Kawasaki supersport jetskis. The hulls are toast, but the engines are fine. My rough plan is to fit the propellor shaft to a lawnmower rear diff, and fab up a frame around it. Other than retrofitting the cooling system to a radiator, what else do I need to look out for in using a jetski engine? And can a mower diff handle the 75 rated horsepower or should I look into an ATV diff?

Aside from the fact that this is way too powerful for any kind of kart and most buggies, that mower diff will not survive. I doubt most ATV diffs would survive. If you're going to build something like this, please don't get killed.

I would look for a 14’ old John boat or something similar and make a fun water toy with it. It would be a better use of the engines. Or fix the hulls.
I found one awhile back. Need to lookup the registration number to make sure it was stolen, then get a bonded or salvage title. and check with the old owner.

other than Boat Builder Central - Builder Forums - Forums, what other forums should I approach for advice?

If that is a cast iron 4 the 400lb weight might be a deterrant.
I didn't clarify. Plan is to take that out and replace it with the two jetski engines. It already has water intake holes as well. I do not plan to take the mercruiser engine and put it in a kart (well maybe in the future)
