Wanted somewhere to post my new build and myswell do it here. Since the password was posted already. And my stuff showed up this week.

Gonna break my own 1/8 mile record which still stands for the state of Oklahoma this year is the reasoning behind another one. That and I met a lot of new people and a very friendly atmosphere with people also with me last one.

It’s a Nitro 50 this time instead of the 44 tho
460cc clone engine / full build this time from scratch !
Gonna shoot for a jr dragster style overdrive clutch setup
Douglas wheels
Hoosier 18x8x8 rear slick off a jr dragster

Gotta have it in your first picture for the current years build off. To mainly make sure everyone starts their project that year and didn’t cheat buy entering a build they been working on for a longer period of time.

Correct sir. I’m picky in my signs tho ! I like to make nice ones instead of writing them out by hand. Might do something a little different this time. That’s why I been slacking still. Hahaha

I can’t get what I’m wanting done. I wanted to use a actual birdhouse but keep forgetting to go get one and I don’t have a printer anymore to make a good poster to my standards.

This will have to do I guess ! I’m officially in for this year..........

I was gonna be around $2k or more building the 460cc setup so I sent it back. This was mine from my first nitro 50 build but never finished it. The guy I sold it to offered the engine back to me for $250 so I couldn’t refuse. That price was way more realistic to get it done by this summer.

It’s a air cooled Honda 250r ATC engine. 1981-1983 year break.

It was a boring day so I mocked it all up on the floor to get some good pics........

Officially decided to cut it off where the blue tape lines are and completely back half it to fit my needs better. The top tubes will be removable also to allow engine removal.

The better half’s aunt gave her a golf cart. Needed a battery and to install the solenoid. Took me a whole 30 minutes to fix er up. Now we just gotta fix the cosmetic stuff. Gonna make a perfect track pit vehicle for the drag mini !

Well due to hours cut at work. It’s been slow going. So I’m gonna do the freebie stuff for now. Or stuff that I got parts for at least ! And I’m still waiting on parts that were ordered a few weeks ago from BMI and eBay to finish the rolling chassis. All that should be left is welding and tubing for it.

Tearing the engine down for color change and new gaskets............

More parts came in today finally..........

Back to minibike stuff !

Gotta widen the handlebars to fit my new control setup. And the brake and sprocket is gonna be awfully close ! But looks way better than what the nitro 50 came with originally and stronger............

1-1/4” axle upgrade and supporting pieces

And billet clutch, brake, and thumb throttle

No turning back now. Got some work done finally on my day off..........

Top tubes will officially be removable for engine removal and servicing.

I like the tubes being removable. Make things a lot easier.

Any idea if it compromises the frame strength a lot?
