Thanks for the input! still trying to decide how I'm going to mount up the bearing carriers/axle to this thing, but will definitely be some gussets on it once tacked up.

And I'm terrible with upholstery stuff, have a friend at a shop that specializes in aircraft interior that will do up the seat for me :)

I'm wondering if this will be too top heavy, with the driver sitting in the basket?

Just go straight.
And wear a helmet.:lolgoku:

I agree. Most shopping cart go karts I've seen have lowered the basket.

Unless you are this guy.

It's already sketchy as freak standing on the back of a commercial stand on mower going 5mph or the Z-Sprayer I use at work. Can't imagine doing 30+ on this thing lol.

I guess you are sitting about the same height as a barstool racer, right?
But for some reason those look more stable than this. I dunno???

Looks cool so far.

Haha thanks everyone for the comments! I love that I giggle the whole time working on this thing :).

Today I wanted to tackle the rear axle, and honestly couldn't come up with something I felt really good about, but here is what I whipped up. It will be gusseted underneath, feels pretty strong without the bracing so far.

Lookin' good!

COG still concerns me.

Plan on mainly going straight?

Like a dragster.

Haha yes, definitely not planning on competitive racing with this one :lolgoku:

High COG + Fixed axle it is not going to handle well, might be fun with some drift tires down the road however :)
