    My Go Kart Thread

Thanks, but even still, his comment still assumes he knows my financial situation by stating I "spent to much". Besides, I don't place a value on protection (shrugs). Perhaps I read to into it, but I found his comment baseless and simply not constructive. A more constructive response would have...

    My Go Kart Thread

Good Kart for a beginner? Sarcasm? What does your kart look like then? Oh, you also know my financial situation as well? Where'd you get that information from? Telling me I spent to much on my gear.. Pff.. :2guns:

    My Go Kart Thread

Thanks for the link. I practiced again on it today, I took some pictures of the frames, it has some numbers on it, and possibly a brand, I am going to see if I can find it online. If I do, I'll post a link to the frame here. Good news regarding the seat. So right now the seat is a 32"(smallest...

    My Go Kart Thread

Thanks, for the compliment, still not sure on the make (any idea on where it would be located on the frame? I could look on Monday when I am going again). Yea it is hard work.. I talked to the owner and there is a way to modify it like you said, by having a clutch, but the main issue with that...

    My Go Kart Thread

Thanks for all the information, yea I was really pleased by its performance. In comparison to the standard pull-start I drove when I rented it at the circuit this direct drive picks up speed much faster from the beginning, I can barely go full throttle on the course the kart is that fast...

    My Go Kart Thread

I just realized I should have posted this in Photo Gallery & Project Log, if need be, can a mod move the thread? Thanks Instead of keep updating my original thread in the introduction sub-forum, I have decided to make a dedicated thread in the main forum to talk about my kart. I will post all...

    Greetings from the Rising Sun

Thanks for the heads up. The cart that I ended up with didn't have wheels on it at the time. He said that the engine is relatively new, and the kart hasn't been used that much. Showed me the bottom of the kart and there went many scuffs etc. Hes supposed to test it, put in a bigger seat (current...

    Greetings from the Rising Sun

Thanks for the tip. Yea the rental cart was really small, my knees were pretty bent up, and the seat wasn't that comfortable. After at about 15 minutes I was in pretty bad pain. I also have an update regarding my Kart situation. Today I talked to the owner and opted for a direct drive go-cart...

Ribtect 3 vs. Armadillo Rib Vest, Thoughts?

Thanks for the heads up. A friend gave me the original Tillett Ribtec systems rib pad for free, going to give it a go next week and see how it is. But if it doesn't do the job, i think i'll fork over the cash for the Ribtect.

Ribtect 3 vs. Armadillo Rib Vest, Thoughts?

Hello everyone, After todays first time really in a "real" go Kart, I have come to the conclusion that I need a rib protector (aches quite a bit now). So After some research I have come to deciding between these two, but ultimately I am just not sure which is the better option. Any input would...

    Greetings from the Rising Sun

Thanks for the information, I am really pumped to give go Karting a chance. From what I have read, Japan has 50 go karting locations, so there are bound to be a lot of competition. I am hoping that a few months down the road I can look into possibly participating in some, should be a lot of fun.

    Greetings from the Rising Sun

Hello Everyone, I just recently got into go karting (today was my first time actually riding a real one, not one of those low grade 10-15 mph go karts that I once rode about 10 years ago....) I am currently in Japan teaching English. I live in a pretty rural city and I was looking for fun...
