    very true ^ but i am not to keen on rebuilding on of these motors.... its dose about 35 , on a 10x54 gearing 5 in rims..

    with the governor off i have it at about 2800 rpms so far... its pretty fast... ohh and i mite also would suggest you get one of these http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_524744_524744 a 40 dollar tach, very good investment, too keep it under the 3500 it says is the max rpm...

    i had such a hard time getting it to sit in the right spot, i took the whole carb and linkage off and put a simple 14/12 dellorto carb... way easier.... for me any way, as i build mopeds, and that was a carb from a moped... yes its a 2 stoke, and no it dosnt matter, it is jetted properly...

    also the governor is internal, not on the carb, but in side the gear box, and it is a plastic gear... heres a vid on how to remove it, its really very easy....

    so i was wondering if i could use the power from the kill switch wire along with a voltage regulator to power 1 light...? any thoughts, i'm not trying to put a alternator on my engine, if ii have to maybe a small battery ....

    i hear ya, it was working but sounded like it was binding up, like a hard crunch then stalls but piston and cylinder is fine.alittle rich... and i think i mite of had too much oil in it... would that do anything with to much oil ?

    pics attached, rusty huh ? will they work ? also no material on the shoes ?? yes no ? also dose the keyway go all the way through the shaft? mine is only about 1/4 of the way through starting from the out side... looks like bits have broken off, but just want to be sure..
