    Ruppish clone

The wheels are Old Margay wheels from the late 60s or early 70s. They are not what would have been on a Rupp stock but I love the way they look. I'm not sure but Margay may have sold them as a aftermarket upgrade

    Ruppish clone

I recently bought a real Rupp and I see that I have made a few mistakes. I am thinking about cutting off the rear setup portion of the frame to narrow the rails and copy the flex mounts from a Grand Prix.

    Chaparral Frame?

I just got this Chaparral frame. It has been abused and is rather rough but I want to bring it back to life. I don't know if it is a Rupp or a Robron kart. Does anyone here know if there is any way to tell what the differences are?

Thank you Denny. I did let the welds cool in the sunlight. As for Ackerman i decided to use the old Mcculloch kart steering to help with the typical front steer reverse ackerman issues that most of the old Karts had.

    Did I buy a Rupp??

Im not an expert but the frame, seat gussets and rear axle mounting brackets look exactly like rupp dart parts. The front axle looks like it has been replaced and maybe the spindles have been flipped over. What a great find. The Steering hoop looks like the early 60s wide hoop as well as the...

Here are some photos of the steering spindels. I think I will need to make new ones with a grade 5 bolt instead of the grade 8 i used. I also want to make metal jig for the next ones I make.

Since building my kids kart has become my kart I have bought a basket case Manco Fox for the kids and the...

    Rupp(ish) Clone

Thanks, I will look at that. The kart is for my kids mainly but I do want to be able to jump on it as well. I think I need to get a pan and seat in it to see where the steering wheel needs to be. If i can find the right size tubing real quick I could make a adjustable one like some of the higher...
