Yeah that TC seemed to have been the culprit. Got a new one from GPS today got it all put back together. Pulled smooth to start, idled without lunging, set the idle speed and clutch is engaging when pulling on throttle. It seems to be working properly. Tomorrow will be the road test. Wish me...

I went ahead and sent the TC back. I ordered one from GPS so I am hoping this will do the trick. I will take pics of the process of putting it back on too. Thanks Denny and MadProf

Yeah when I first tried it, it was moving just starting it. And was hard as heck to turn over. Got in it and it was moving but nothing like I would imagine it to be moving, got out and pushed it back to the house. The belt already started wearing on the side towards the motor. It seems to me...

Alrighty, closest I have been yet. Motor is in, everything hooked up, put a torque converter on it. The problem is that either the clutch is kicking in too soon or not at all. I tried loosening the nut on the back pulley and now it wont engage at all. I wonder if I have a faulty torque...

HOLY HELLLL!!!! 45 MINS and a busted thumb and I beat those springs into submission. Front end is all in, most of the axle is in, brakes in, throttle cable in, front tires on, motor in!! Tomorrow putting the pedals in and tightening things up. Switching out bearings cause I got the wrong ones...

Thanks for the help got the key to go in on the sprocket. Question..... I just got the front spindles in and the springs are a little to long for it and the spindle to fit, is there a way to compress the spring or should I cut it to length using a cutting wheel. Btw, thanks for all the help you...

Sorry for so many questions. GPS has tie rod ends but not the lengths I need of 17.5 and 8.75. Do I order it longer or shorter than length needed? I know the ends add length. They sell by 2 inch increments, I guess.

Dude I am soooooo thankful for this vid and info. Going to save me a ton of research. I got my axle, bearings, sprocket, all installed (ish), I am finding that the keys fit great in the axle but extra stiff going in the sprocket hub. Is there a trick or lubrication I should be using to make...

Does anyone know what kind of front spindles I will need. I measured between front brackets and it was 4 inches. This is a manco frame I believe

Totally cool, found that everything on that axle had been welded so I lost the whole thing but neew parts are starting to trickle in. What size bolts and nuts should I use on the flangettes?

Right on! Got the axle out and started ordering parts. Ordered a caliper on Ebay, and of course it's the wrong model so looks like I will indeed be learning to weld at least a bracket to hold that on. Nothing is easy. Lol just want 1 part that will just bolt and go. Lol

Sooo, progress. I cut the old axle off. Came out clean, but the sprocket hub and the brake disc is absolutely welded to the friggin axle, so I was able to salvage the sprocket it's a 60 spoke. Chain is rusty as heck so that toast. Would square pillow blocks work on this frame, you think?

I am hoping that I will not need to weld but I am willing to give it a go if I need to to make it work

I mean, daaaannnng. Lol yeah I figured I would lose the whole axle, junk but, I have faith. Lol.. the round hole and hex makes sense now as to why they welded everything in. I do have a steering wheel, the brake rod and I think the rest of the caliper is in the box o parts. I paid 150 for the...

Okay so attached are the pics. After closer look the sprocket, brake disk and bearings appear to be welded to the axle, not sure why but none the less here ya go also the bearing holders(?) Arent even bolted to the frame. I think I will have to cut this axle apart to get it out.

This is all hugely helpful. How long of an axle did you get? Also, I will need wheels and spindles for front, I have no clue which ones to buy. Since you have this frame any help you can offer up would be amazing! I have been researching for hours and not coming up with a whole lot of...
