    Yerf Dog 3203 light refurbishing

Some might be, but for one out of the box with the electric start I thought it was pretty good versus buying a predator on sale and adding electric start. Plus the pull start version was about the same as a regularly priced predator. Fwiw, the color worked great with the stock 3203 😎

Here is one more video for now. My brother in law loaned me a bunch of random Go-Pro stuff, and I'm going to see what I can make of it to try to take a few videos better than my phone can. I'll post when I get that up. I did end up tearing the torque converter completely apart (which I should...

Power wheels / go kart freebie

So I got this little animal free from a coworker. It features a 6v power wheels electrical system. A little Facebook research led me to find out while special it’s not necessary rare. The frame and body were special and power wheels supplied the motor system. Now given I saw pictures of...

    Post your finished projects!!!

I’m gonna have to call this one done for now. I may decide to cannibalize some plastic buckets and totes later and make some wind shrouds or fenders, but that will be if I get the right color plastics and have the time. All that to say, it starts easy and runs and drives smooth. The kids and...

    Yerf Dog 3203 light refurbishing

Got to take one of my best passengers on a little ride through the yard today. Found a few small kinks to iron out but overall this will be a great machine for the family.

    Yerf Dog 3203 light refurbishing

Save for some little tidying up here and there, I’m calling this done for now. Can’t wait for the ground to dry and harden up so I can get you guys some trail videos!

    Yerf Dog 3203 light refurbishing

Woah I can't believe it was over two weeks since this post. Busy schedule between little kids and plowing with the snow have kept us busy. The kart is basically waiting for warm days for me to lay down the floor stick on grip pad (from a skateboard) and a few decals near the engine. When we...

    Yerf Dog 3203 light refurbishing

Made the extra kill switch more presentable and here is the tie rod arrangement I went with. Between these and adding the bushing to the bottom of the steering shaft it is super tight and smooth. So much so, that it revealed the steering wheel bolts needed to be snugged down, ha!

    Yerf Dog 3203 light refurbishing

Well it’s done till the spring when it’s warmer to put on some touch up paint and stick on items. Couldn’t help myself and I took it for a spin, no battery I just bypassed the circuit. Engine has plenty of torque stock and I couldn’t record it but hit 30mph with the phone gps. That’s enough...

    Yerf Dog 3203 light refurbishing

Got the lights hooked up. Next will be to go around and check torque on all bolts and tidy up what I can with longer or shorter bolts. I plan to throw a little touch up paint at a few spots and put down some black stick on padding for the floor pans, but not till it’s warmer outside.

    Yerf Dog 3203 light refurbishing

You know, I was just thinking, since BMI makes those swing arms to order, you could always call and see if they could do one special for you with a different engine plate or minus the plate and put your own in. Worth asking I suppose! I’d considered a larger engine but went this way because it...

    Yerf Dog 3203 light refurbishing

Took care of the last major point of slop in the steering, only to discover the bolts which hole the steering wheel on will need to be snugged down too, ha! And a second test with the “windshield”. I think clean up the bolts and call it till spring when I can paint that cross beam there.

    Yerf Dog 3203 light refurbishing

Sure, I’ll keep them around but if someone else really needs them they are there. With life schedules even this project was probably more than I can chew, and likely won’t get back into these for some time. In the land of perfect I would have had a better shop, more tools in one place, and...

    Yerf Dog 3203 light refurbishing

10 picture limit per post evidently! See the last picture there, PM me if you can use those old parts for donor metal or just practice metal and I’d like to get them to someone for $FREE.99 if you are in the Morris, IL area before I throw them to scrap. First come first serve.

    Yerf Dog 3203 light refurbishing

Moving the needle a bit, got some done on the front end and found a place I will be adding another bushing. Got my donor fog lights started and am working on the seat belts. Also stated in on my makeshift windscreen with a half size piece of free plexiglass. If we get a nice day I’ll try...

    Yerf Dog 3203 light refurbishing

Had to connect the battery and see if everything worked, which it did. Relay for lights activates so just need to tap in there when I get them off the other machine. Flipped it around to start on the front end work.

    Yerf Dog 3203 light refurbishing

Pretty happy with the engine wiring, just need to do the lights but that won’t be a big deal. Forgive the terrible quality video but I wanted to hear it run in frame. If we get a nice day I’ll drop the battery in there and do a gentle test run around the yard before I turn it around and...

    The Mule

This has some awesome potential, I love how so much is recycled/repurposed. I agree, the prices of these types of vehicles new is crazy. If you have the time and means to build one, more power to ya. I'll keep an eye on this build for sure! (y)(y)

Do you have a running video? I'll bet it sounds good! Looks nice!

    Yerf Dog 3203 light refurbishing

Rough in of where the secondary kill switch will go, and very early renditions of where the rear running lights will reside. Brackets need trimming to closer follow the frame contour and the edges rounded/smoothed out, but I think they will serve this rig well.
