Ninja 500 Yerfdog 3203 (with video of offroad ripping)

On my second engine. Frame still going strong. New engine running like a top. This thing takes off insanely quick from a stop. The old engine never ran right and wow what a difference.

Rode with a 570 Polaris ranger and the Ranger could not keep up at all in the trails or in the fields. The rear shock upgrade made such a big difference that now I want to do the fronts.

Ninja 500 Yerfdog 3203 (with video of offroad ripping)

Took it out over the weekend and ripped it like crazy. Everything went well and the engine is running way better. I had one small issue my water pump hose started to cave in when it got really hot at the bend. Ill fix this by using a couple 90s rather than bulk tubing.

Mounted up the warning lights, and I wired the neutral switch to the turn signal indicator light so you get a big green light in the middle when in neutral. Taking it out next weekend, and ill beat the heck out of it.

Build log "I'll name this buggy later" Sun-L 500cc

13 tooth from sprocket specialists on the front which helps a decent bit with clearance. Too much smaller and the chain might rub on the outside of the case. Might be able to get away with a 12T. I have a 50t on the rear.

Looks good! Can't wait to see this when its all done. What gearing did you go with? Also, Btw I ran into the same issue as you and ran a 520 idler sprocket so it would clear & a smaller front sprocket helps clearance. It was off a Buell motorcycle if I recall. I also ended up using a half link...

Ninja 500 Yerfdog 3203 (with video of offroad ripping)

Well I lied I started working on it again even though nothing broke. I added some shock absorbers to combat the pogo effect of having the springs almost vertical. BTW the reason they are vertical is because I couldn't find a shock that was strong enough to mount ideally. I talked with joe one of...

The brakes are not what I would want them to be they slow down the thing fairly quick and work fine off road but they will not lock up on pavement. I used the front ninja brake mounted on the rear. Before I had the ninja brake on the rear and 2 minis on the front but I kept blowing wheel...
