    Non hemi predator existence?

Ok, long story short, engine on my mini bike was loosing power and ticking. Drained the oil, and it looked like a black metallic paint job, but with more metallic than black. The rod is out of round by 5 thousandths, and oil clearance is now 7 thousandths (according to my caliper). Also the cam...

    F-150 Project (ish)

Well, I finally got it last Friday. It did cost me $90 for the towing, but the truck itself was free. And here it is. Now, the truck has somewhere north of around 800k on it, and it was used for hauling shrimp, and driven through a few floods. So I'm not putting much into the truck itself. What...

    Champion generator fuel consumption

I was wondering how long a 224cc Champion dual fuel generator (honda clone type) would run on a 20 pound tank of propane? It's rated at 4000 starting and 3150 running watts. It'd be used to run a well, an RV fridge, and maybe a light or two in an RV.

    Baja Warrior foot pegs

I've been working on turning my '14 Baja Warrior into a trail beast, but I've always been afraid of standing up on the bike. I'm mostly worried about the strength of the stock footpegs. I've had my foot slip off a pedal on a bicycle before, and it didn't feel good at 10 mph, I'd hate to have one...

I've found the answer, I think

I think I may have found the answer for putting lighting coils on a predator. This: https://www.gopowersports.com/crankshaft-212cc-tillotson/ It's a tillotson 212 crankshaft, so I'd think it should fit in a predator, but it says in the description: So it accepts Honda and clone flywheels...

    Predator 301

Well this is my third question about an engine swap for the Streaker. The first was about a briggs 8hp (may or may not be happening, I haven't heard anything from my uncle since thanksgiving). The second was about a tecumseh 11hp, that would cost more than a predator 301 if it didn't have the...

    Tecumseh 11 horse

I've been seeing this engine on CL for the past few weeks, And I'm thinking it wouldn't he that bad of an engine to work on for the streaker. But, I know almost nothing about 11hp tecumsehs. So is there anything I should know about it? I mean, besides the carburetor. Here are the pics from the...

    Clutch spring advice

I've been riding my drifter lately and I've noticed that it doesn't seem to have much off the line acceleration. The top end is good and it has pretty good acceleration once the clutch locks up (for a 100% stock predator). But it takes 15-20 feet to lock the clutch. Is there a cheap and easy way...

    Manco jackshaft orientation.

I have a Manco 435B that is getting a new jackshaft that I need some advice on. I've seen 2 or 3 people on here break the 5/8" jackshafts on these karts, and I don't want to be another. Some info, this kart relies on two 3:1 reductions, created by a 10t clutch driving a 30t jackshaft input...

    Schwinn scooter gas conversion

Please let me know if I should get this moved to the minibike area. I know I'm gonna catch some heat about this, but I'm planning on converting an electric Schwinn scooter I got for free (green), to a gas powered scooter, using a 49cc two stroke that I was given for free (not green). I've found...

    Briggs 8 horse

Well I just found out that my uncle has a briggs 8 horse in his garage that he was planning on using on a go kart for his son. Both of us agree that 8 horses is a bit too big for a small kart for an 9 year old. So I asked him how much he wanted for it, since I've been looking for one for my...

    Predator 670 questions

I've got a few questions about the 670s, one of which I'm planning on using in a future build. Question 1: Are the bearing-less engine cranks and journals able to handle short periods of sideways thrust, like a car experiences when using the clutch, or will that wreck the crank and block...

    Adapter machining

I've been thinking and planning a future build, or more like deciding what parts to buy, but I've hit a bump in the road. I'm planning on machining an adapter so I can run a SBC flywheel off a 1" pto. I will be getting a lathe soon, so I will be able to machine the adapter, and they have a drill...

    Briggs engine worth?

I recently got a junk ish briggs engine that needs some parts, and I was kind of wondering what it would be worth. It's about 5 ish years old and one of these but with a flat side cover: https://shop.briggsandstratton.com/products/briggs-and-stratton-12t102-0023-f8-800-series-engine I was...

    Tecumseh questions

I have a couple of questions about a Tecumseh OHH60 that I'm fixin' up. The first is, does anyone know when Tecumseh started making the OHH series engines? I found a Tecumseh service manual that seems to think that the governor that was used in my engine was discontinued in August of 1982. And...

    Help with floor jack.

My floor jack has been acting weird for a while. It acts like it doesn't have any power. It'll go up to whatever I'm trying to lift, but it won't lift it. Which, from what I understand, is what happens when a jack wears out. But the weird part is that it will stay there, without falling down...

    Predator 212h governor issues?

I recently bought my first predator 212 hemi, and I must say, I'm not impressed. I think that something's going on with the governor system. In a field at full throttle (usually while drifting) or at idle, it's pretty dang smooth, but around half throttle the engine cuts in and out like crazy...

    49cc pocket bike engine hp

Does anyone know about how much power the 49cc two stroke pocket bike engines have? I got one from my uncle a bit ago that needs a bit of work. I was wondering if it is worth fixing it up to put on a bicycle or something.

    Tc dry lube recommendations

It’s been a while since I’ve been on here with the summer and my job, but I have a question about what type of dry lube to use on a torque converter. I’ve seen two at Home Depot, a dry lube with Teflon, and a dry graphite lube. Which is better for a 30 series? And, on an unrelated topic, is it...

    Drifter kart drivetrain

I have been planning on starting a drifter kart build this summer (starts next week), but I've been thinking about something. Is there a way that I could work up some type of clutch that will let me lock the rear tires without stalling the engine? I was thinking on linking it to a hand brake...
