Help me find a kart I saw on here a few months back

I remember a thread or post on here where a guy built a go kart with a peerless transmission or transaxle and a belt slip clutch. There was a video with him riding in a yard shifting on the fly. I remember thinking to myself that the shift keys weren't going to last long doing that. Thought I...

    Maytag Washing Machine Engine

A few members asked for pics of my Maytag washing machine engine. This engine was my grandmothers and it used to power her Maytag wringer washer (as we called it). It is 2 stroke, 2 cylinder, and is kick started. I've been meaning to restore this for some time but I tend to have a lot of...

    Manco Indy Car

I got this frame several years ago and had it in a shed. I am more in to mini bikes and never had much ambition to get it out and get it going. Fast forward 5-6 years and I now have two young boys that would love to go for a ride with daddy on a go kart. Its a Manco Indy Car frame (didn't...

    Razor Scooter Gas Conversion

    Metric Machinists

Since there are a number of members here from other countries, I thought I'd ask...If you use the metric system and are a machinist, how far do you usually measure down to? In the US, I would normally measure to 1 thousandth of 1 inch (.001") with a dial caliper or 1 tenth of 1 thousandth...

    Spidercarts Quick Jack

Any body ever build one of these? The kart plans I ordered from them were supposed to include these plans but they weren't. I contacted them and didn't receive a reply. So I disputed it on Paypal and they refunded my money instead of giving me the bonus plans I was supposed to receive...

    Wanted: 4" Rim/Sprocket

I need a 4" rim/hub/sprocket combo that uses the typical 1-3/8" OD, 5/8" ID snap ring bearings. Would prefer a 2pc rim with sprocket hub and sprocket but a 1pc rim/hub/sprocket would be fine. As per the rules, not looking to spend over $20-$30 shipped. Zip is 15825 for shipping cost estimation.

    Buyer Beware icebox187

I was the purchaser in this thread. http://www.diygokarts.com/vb/showthread.php?t=23827 In the for sale ad, the item was listed as a "nice torque converter" only needing cleaning before use. When I got the item I noticed that the driven spring appeared to be unwound, the sprocket had hooked...
