Welcome to the forum... There are a lot of smart guys here. (not necessarily me) Extending the spindles doesn't sound like a good and lasting solution. I'd say you'd be better off with entirely new spindles to solve your problem. Photo shots of what you have would be helpful.

In my unsolicited opinion... unless you plan on spending a lot of your time at a 1/8 - 1/4 mile race track, what else are your plans for your finished project? For me personally, I think the novelty would wear off after a few hours.

THANKS... I'm really not as concerned with the octane of the gas as I am with the quality of the fuel line. I was baffled as to why it was running perfectly when I parked it, then a month or 2 later it was missing high end. I'll replace the fuel lines, clean the carb, put fresh fuel in and...

Lesson learned... ;)

The problem for me now is... I'm gonna have to replace ALL of the fuel lines on my chainsaws and go kart engines that I replaced with those junk fuel lines. :(

Same here... but having my brand new engine starting to run like crap made me start my search for the solution. MUCH THANKS to Karl.

I ordered some that did not have the name printed on it, but just now cancelled the order before it shipped out. Then I ordered some 4040 that did have it printed on the hose. THANKS If I had not cancelled that order, by the time that fuel line deteriorated, I would have had no recourse.

There are plenty of sources out there for Genuine Tygon 4040 fuel line...

I was able to find a quality fuel line in the translucent yellow that I want... so no compromises are needed.
