I started it up and ran it for a bit I didn’t have the muffler on the neighbor came over and said you better shut that thing off, someone’s gonna call the cops that thing is freaking loud, if I get on it and ride it, I will end up taking it down the street wide-open see how fast it goes, and either a, the cops will arrest me or “b”
I’ll hit a pothole and you’ll see a picture of me Front page of the newspaper going through a telephone pole, I didn’t tell you I was a marine Corps, Door gunner in a helicopter and I like to live dangerously, my motto was if you’re not living on the edge you’re taking up too much room, so therefore you see I’m not going to tempt fate, besides I’m way too busy with work and I have two more much prettier karts that I’m trying to work on as well. When I was inspecting the engine and had it apart, I noticed a number “10”on the piston what does that mean? I will attach a picture, and I’ll also attach a picture of my vintage Rupp Dart kart. I was told it’s a 1965 A-Bone, with two McCullough MC 91-A engine ! anybody disagree with that theory? I’m working on a ““ complete restoration or, until I get sick of working on it which ever comes first. It’s becoming way too time-consuming , , customers are complaining LOL priorities right? In my mind a vintage racing kart is a pretty good priority. One can of paint didn’t go very far, I guess I need a few more, I would like to take the money I make off first court and put it toward the restoration of the Dart Kart, i’m in the process of welding up a custom fuel tank that goes behind the seat pretty much a replica of the original if I ever get some time to finish welding it! The first two pictures are how it was when I received it I stripped it down to the bare metal sanded and and primed it, and and am painting it with a deep blue metallic paint. Plan to put it up for auction when it’s complete
