I was given this racing kart frame, and about eight boxes of parts all disassembled, apparently he like to take things apart and didn’t know how to put them back together and just threw them in a box and bought something newer and bigger. I was hoping someone out there could identify this frame! I’ve pretty much given up on trying to figure it out myself, so I’d be awful grateful if anybody could help me. Thank you for any help you can give me. This is the only identification on the kart, that I found anyway

Anderkart is one of the most knowledgeable people on here about racing karts. If he doesn’t know he knows where to find the information. He’s not on here all the time so you may have to be patient. Welcome by the way.

It's a very cool vintage kart.
It has some unique features but I'm not recognizing the brand, but some more clues might help.

We need to start by deciding if its a American or European brand...

Does It seem to have mostly all Metric or Inch size nuts & bolts?

What Diameter is the rear axle? 1" or 1-1/4", or a metric size? (25mm/30mm/40mm?)

Pics of the brake caliper and Nerf bars might be a good clue too...

Thank you sir, they’re all metric, the axle is 11/4” his other newer kart that he used after this one is a coyote, bullet. I have that one as well they both had KT 100’s on them. From all the pictures I’ve been finding of vintage karts that are about the same shape same features as this one. I’m wondering/thinking it to be in Old coyote Frame. It had a laydown seat included in the bundle of parts that I got, I just finished freshly painting and assembling it, The engine looks to be freshly has great compression and I dumped some gas in the carburetor and it fires right up haven’t had a chance to do anything more with it yet! As soon as I finish tinkering with it I’m planning on trying to find someone that wants a sweet super kart, it seems that that is what it is, unless someone tells me otherwise. I’ll post some pictures shortly when I get done securing the seat! Thanks

I started it up and ran it for a bit I didn’t have the muffler on the neighbor came over and said you better shut that thing off, someone’s gonna call the cops that thing is freaking loud, if I get on it and ride it, I will end up taking it down the street wide-open see how fast it goes, and either a, the cops will arrest me or “b”
I’ll hit a pothole and you’ll see a picture of me Front page of the newspaper going through a telephone pole, I didn’t tell you I was a marine Corps, Door gunner in a helicopter and I like to live dangerously, my motto was if you’re not living on the edge you’re taking up too much room, so therefore you see I’m not going to tempt fate, besides I’m way too busy with work and I have two more much prettier karts that I’m trying to work on as well. When I was inspecting the engine and had it apart, I noticed a number “10”on the piston what does that mean? I will attach a picture, and I’ll also attach a picture of my vintage Rupp Dart kart. I was told it’s a 1965 A-Bone, with two McCullough MC 91-A engine ! anybody disagree with that theory? I’m working on a ““ complete restoration or, until I get sick of working on it which ever comes first. It’s becoming way too time-consuming , , customers are complaining LOL priorities right? In my mind a vintage racing kart is a pretty good priority. One can of paint didn’t go very far, I guess I need a few more, I would like to take the money I make off first court and put it toward the restoration of the Dart Kart, i’m in the process of welding up a custom fuel tank that goes behind the seat pretty much a replica of the original if I ever get some time to finish welding it! The first two pictures are how it was when I received it I stripped it down to the bare metal sanded and and primed it, and and am painting it with a deep blue metallic paint. Plan to put it up for auction when it’s complete

Door gunner, I figured you’d be brave. Cops won’t take you to jail. You may get a ticket but most likely a stern talking to and a slap on the hand. Unless you lead them on a high speed chase. Good job on saving the Rupp!

Maybe a ten thousandths over piston. .10

Thank you sir, they’re all metric,

I’m wondering/thinking it to be in Old coyote Frame.
Your welcome (y)

I could be wrong, but I've got a feeling you've got one of the European racekart brands. Coyote karts were made in the USA and I'm fairly certain all of the older ones like yours would have came with 100% Inch-size nuts & bolts, and a 1" or 1-1/4" diameter rear axle. I suppose someone could have replaced the axle (& all its componets) and all the hardware with metric equivalents, but i doubt it.

I agree with Denny. Your 10,000's over piston is actually a really good sign. It means your cylinder has most likely only been bored 1 time during a top-end rebuild, just to clean up minor imperfections; and that it still has plenty of thickness remaining to re-bore it serveral more times if ever necessary.

Put a muffler on it. Keep your neighbors happy. Stay on their good side.
Visits from the police aren't any fun. It gets worse the 2nd and 3rd time.
Ask me how I know.
