I built a support in the front and back top end of the cage for hauling long stuff without using the bed or roof. Built for lumber primarily.

Ditching the extra seat idea for now. Too much thinking, not enough building. Bed is 2 feet long, and just over 34" wide. Black is the rear shocks, they are 26" ish tall/long. Opened the box for the 670 as well.

Can you expand on the "articulating" part a bit? Are you talking about the pivot poitn for the rear (where it attaches to the frame?), turning, or other. Thanks for the brain power.

Yea, good advice on the John Deere example, thanks. I was wondering the same thing, and having you bring that up reminds me that it could be a major flaw. I always find myself trying to go a little "too big" on some of my plans, and its probably best to just keep this as simple as possible...

1st is close to what I would do with the 6 wheel setup (just swap the seat for the front facing bench seat). 2nd is what I will do if I go standard 4 wheel setup (Also swap the bucket seat for the bench seat), differentce would be rear facing. Pro of the 6 wheel is obvious, 4 wheel is way...

Well, the 6 wheel goods have been speaking in my ear. Thinking of going back to the original 6 wheel idea. Picked up a killer bench seat for the rear for $20. Came out of a CJ-7 Jeep.

From a purely practical perspective, knowing how to weld has saved my butt 3 times now with carpentry/framing. I can make brackets that dont exist, for a few bucks, to support weight in ways that open up my framing options. My wife is starting to understand that building a buggy and smoker...

Got lucky. Winch was on sale for $111 from the return bin. I have already used it to lift a window into the house. I got lucky on the spacing, fits like a glove in the lower portion of the bumper.

Whelp, turns out I want smoked pork more than a buggy right now. Working on the cooking grate. The big house remodel is influencing that. Finding out how circlular cuts complicate things.

More time on the smoker: Red is venting, blue is tempered glass.

Yea, it will be a 670cc v-twin. Dad probably will only ride in here a few times. Ill have to do a beefy clutch. If its under powered ill go loko next year and turbo it, but ill just play with the governor till I get a feel for it.

Finished up the air intake for the smoker. Ill put a 2" reciever so I can put it on my front bumper for smoking/bbqing in the field.
