So I rebuilt my 5hp briggs, new rings, etc. The flywheel screen won't clear the shroud. I tried tightening the flywheel more, to a point where the bearings popped out (not smart). Anyway, I can the bearing holder to seal but it keeps wanting to pop out. The flywheel still won't clear. It does...

So I am in the process of refreshing my 5hp briggs flathead. The valves are all out, seats lapped, etc. Now when I put the valves back in is there anything I need to be aware of, anything to measure, etc?

I was wondering how the length differences effect a Briggs flatty.. As you can see there are a few different lengths. Will certain sizes only work with certain cams?

I'm thinking of getting myself a gx200 clone from costco. What kind of oil are best for these clones. I've heard 10w30 shortens it's lifespan vs others. I'm not talking about brand I'm talking about weight.

I want to make a mount for my kt100.. Would it be fine to do a steel mount, against the aluminum engine, or should the mount be aluminum?

I was thinking of attaching my chainsaw to my mountain bike via friction drive. I don't have clutch housing.. just the internal piece. Will it fly apart if I rev it up without any housing around it or will it just expand? I wanted to mount it 1cm above my wheel so when I rev it the clutch...

I heard that getting the clutch on and off isn't that easy. I heard oyu have to lap the crankshaft to put a dd sprocket on. Wouldn't that prevent me from putting the clutch on if I got a starter? I'm pretty sure my battery drill can start it if the engine was bolted to the kart. I think I'm...
