So if I achieve ackerman via center of axle - string method, should I use a pitman arm with one hole? ;/. What if my pitman has two, how far would that ruin the steering?

What about the normal ackerman-acheiving technique? You know, when you pull a string from the middle of the rear axle and have it attached to the main bolt on your spindle brackets? Supposedly when you install your arm according to that line it will give you ackerman for better turning.

I think that due to the moderately rough terrain that my gokart will be used on, it would be wise not to lower the front. If you say it's ok to make a flat frame, then I'll go with that. Thank you all for your help. B.
