well i have an old polaris 398cc 2 stroke snowmobile engine g=for my go kart and i need a new throttle assembly and cable. it is very old engine and it is twin carb. i have a y assembly type cable on there so if there is one like that..show me the way. also where would i find an old 2 stroke...
i am going to weld up my frame so it is sturdier and wider. i have a manco dingo go kart, so does anyone have pics of JUST their frames i could look at. And what type of tubing did you use??
So guys i brought my engine to my autos class and have been working on the engine. I have torn it down and cleaned almost every nut bolt and part with a parts cleaner. The pistons are pretty caked on the top but i assume that isnt bad because in terms it is a 2 stroke.

For the powerplant i have a 400cc 2stroke polaris snowmobile engine, so leave some room for that.
I want this to be a ONE seater, with some mild suspension.
I want to be able to go fast on the streets, but also have some nive speed...

I Know it is a Polaris 398cc Motor,(might be a 1970 Polaris Charger motor) might be bored out to 440 but dont know. Thats what the guy said.its a EC40P.
the engine is a two cylinder two stroke with a cooling fan built into the flywheel. It is rated 27 hp at 6,500 RPM (maybe more?)...
