nope oppy twin dont have a comp release..

If you grind the base circle of the cam down and get longer push rods its pretty much like getting a higher lift then stock cam.

you could do the bulk with a bench grinder. you will probably want to use a file to straighten everything back out. there was a guy on 4cycle that welded his up with good results. since you are doing what you are planning, why not flatten out the tip a little for duration? fortuna per ut? good for you?

no i not gona flatten the top cause that wont do nothing for duration it will only take away lift.while if you do the base circle it gives more lift also there are some more secrets to this i wont reveil...

the flatter the top (not flatter, wider arc), the more duration. from what i've read you would rather have duration than lift. unless one of your secrets is a slight duration increase. remember to watch your ramps. you could end up making comp releases. you are going to need bigger pushrods though aren't ya?

CNC surface grinder w/ a CNC rotary table

lol unless i can find one for 10 bucks im sol on that..

and mike higher gearing wont do anything for me cause im tryin to get more tourqe outa this thing so i can gear the dog hell outa it to beat the ohv singles

and i had the adjustable jet out a little to much on the low end and the thing would just load up with fuel bog out and dump unburnt fuel.

isn't higher gearing 6:1, 7:1, 8:1? 6:1 gives me plenty of torque. what is this engines rated torque anyway?

Knife edge crankshaft, shot peen connecting rod, lighten flywheel, port and polish, replace bearings with sealed bearings to get rid of the seals....

Your turn :)

won't a knife-edge create more thumping? imbalance? shot peening is for strength right? sort of like cryo treating? lightening the fly is for revability, of which a byproduct is more usable torque; port and polish is for flow. sealed bearings are for durability.

for more tourqe you want a heavyer wheel. and no way im cutting into this wheel.. its a monster of a thing and id rather not have a modded wheel on my mower. but i cant make up for it in gearing i need the toruqe outa the motor for racing so i can gear it so it goes faster cause the little single ohvs got my *** beat cause they can rev way up past 5 grand when built right but the twins got a *** load more tourqe then them. and if i gear it for tourqe ill be goin slower then a frozen dog turd going up hill.

theres no way of replacing the bearings on a oppy twin. port and polish is on my list

ok in that case, you might be able to run a 16tooth clutch and a 60rear sprocket. are you gonna stay running the stock carb? do you already have an aftermarket filter? since it is a twin, you could run twin carbs. what's your bolt pattern for the intakes? how many cc's per cyl? two of these might make her run like a scalded dog:
