Default gx390 clutch....

I know I should go with a series 40 belt clutch, but being broke I'm looking for other ideas. I have access to both a series 20 comet clutch, and a tav2 (series 30). Knowing the belt is the weak part of both clutches, the series 20 uses a symmetrical belt, the same as the series 40 clutch. All else equal would the series 20 have advantage over the 30 with the asymmetrical belt?

I've heard of people having problems with the tav2 because the clutch has to be spaced away from the engine in order to make room for the backing plate and they end up shearing the key in the hub driver because it only catches a little bit of the crankshaft. I don't know If there is a difference in belt strength but I'd go with the 20 series because it wouldn't need the spacer.
